Day 01 Arrive at Freetown
Our staff will welcome you at the Lungi international airport and transfer you to your hotel. Your vacation will start with a sightseeing tour of Sierra Leone capital Freetown. Visit the Sierra Leone National Museum, cotton Tree and the perfect observation point of this great city then on to a market called Big Market one of the largest Artesian market in Sierra Leone.
Day 02 Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary
A morning 40min drive outside of Freetown Sierra Leone. Tacugama is set high in the hills of the Western Area forest Reserve. The 100-acre sanctuary is a 10 Minutes drive to the historic mountain of Regent.
Day 03 St Charles Church
St Charles Church is the oldest stone church in Sierra Leone and the third oldest in Africa. It was built by Rev. W.A.B. Johnson a few years after Sierra Leone became a Crown Colony. ... The church was built in the old Kings Yard in Regent, there being one in each village.
Day 04 Sierra Leone Railway Museum
In 1903, 5.5 mile train line was built from Cotton Tree in Freetown through the city, past Wilberforce and up to Hill Station. This was built for Europeans to travel from their homes built high up to travel down to the city with ease.
Day 05 Fourah Bay College
The college was established in February 1827 as an Anglican missionary school by the Church Missionary Society with support from Charles McCarthy, the governor of Sierra Leone. Samuel Ajayi Crowther was the first student to enroll at Fourah Bay. Fourah Bay College soon became a magnet for Krio and other Africans seeking higher education in Sierra Leone(West Africa). These included Nigerians, Ghanaians, Ivorian’s and many more, especially in the fields of theology and education. It was the first western-style university in West Africa. Under colonialism, Freetown was known as the "Athens of Africa" as an homage to the college.
Day 06 Bounce Island
A boat trip to visit Bounce Island in the afternoon. Bunce Island is an Island in the Sierra Leone River it is situated at the Freetown Harbor. It is the most significant attraction of Trans-Atlantic slavery in the West Coast of Africa.
The Turtle Island is known by its character. These are the nest to the hundreds of turtles. It’s a combination of eight peaceful island. There lies a fishing community on those island. The fresh air and the clean and fresh water create the most amazing tourism field ever. You can enjoy fishing by yourself with the local expert. This Island can be reached by speedboat from Freetown within 3 hours.
Sierra Leone has no shortage of natural beauty and national parks, but the Outamba-Kilimi National Park seems to top the list. The park is home to several species of interesting and diverse wildlife, including many different primates, elephants, buffalos, and a lion are two. Bird watchers will also be amazed at the near-260 different species that inhabit the area. The park itself is also quite geographically varied, with the northern section characterized by rolling hills and rainforests, while the central area is flatter and boast grassland conditions.
Day 09 River No2 Beach
River No2 Beach is one of the finest beach in Sierra Leone,it is known for it white sand beautiful mountain and it crystal clear water. It flows into the ocean on the western Area peninsula and is popular with both the tourist and Sierra Leoneans
