afternoon enjoy a tour of Accra and the National Theatre of Ghana. The distinctive architecture of this modern building encompasses an important national center for the performing arts. Accra Zoo a small, but fascinating collection of many of the birds and animals indigenous to Africa. The zoo is now part of an ongoing conservation program.
The Markets Of Accra among the most famous markets of Accra is the Makola Market located on Kojo Thompson Road and the Osu Night Market where market stalls are illuminate with hundreds of lanterns and candles.
Take a morning drive to Kumasi and view the Ashanti Heritage Kumasi is the capital of the Ashanti Kingdom and view the many wonderful castles of the Ashanti people.
You'll experience the traditional buildings that are the last remaining testimony of the great Asante civilisation, which reached its peak in the 18th century. You'll also get the unique opportunity to join in the compassionate work assisting with The Medical Clinic Project on mornings for 4 days:
Mornings we'll work on the medical clinic for the village. Later we'll visit the Cultural Crafts Center, the Bonwire Weaving Village, and other markets of Kumasi. In the evening, we will meet with the clothing designers to put orders in on any items that need to be sewn.
Mornings we'll work on the medical clinic for the village. Kumasi will be a free day. You can take part in an activity, just stroll though the local neighbourhood, or take a taxi into the city and enjoy the local atmosphere!
Mornings we'll work on the medical clinic for the village. Then we will visit the Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, and the lake on the mountain. Both are amazing places with breath taking scenery... as well as local folklore about these historic areas.
Day 7 Off to Cape Coast Kakum National Park
357km2 National Park comprises of undisturbed virgin rainforests, that create excellent walking tours under its natural canopy walkway. The ground level forest offers opportunity to see much of Ghana's indigenous plant life, as well as rare butterflies, birds, and game that could include the extraordinary Bongo and Forest Elephant.
Day 8 The Slave Castles of Ghana
The castles along the coast of the Central Region are among the best preserved in Ghana. They include the Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, and Fort Jago. Highlights of the castles tours are the slave dungeons and the Cape Coast Castle Museum. We provide a special welcome home ceremony.
On mornings in Cape Coast, there will be an available two-day Drum and Dance Camp. You can also take a day drive to the village on stilts at the Ankasa National Park.
Free day to enjoy the city or the beaches of Cape Coast and/or take advantage of a drum and dance camp.
Trip back Accra dinner party with dignitaries, fashion designers, models, and friends. There will be a discussion with the Twedaase Primary School Project with School Board.
A day enjoying the beaches of La Palm Resort and Labadi Beach. Coco Beach and Kinston beaches will be featured. Morning discussion with Twedasse Primary School Project.
These century-old botanical gardens are about an hour’s drive from Accra. They offer a rich collection of tropical flora which attracts scores of birds and butterflies. These tranquil paths are a popular excursion for our city dwellers.
A trip to the Art Center where all the cultural goods and crafts in the city are sold.
